Written in 2014 but still holds true today :)   

A little over 2 months ago I came home and My lovely pup Chuck was limping. Thinking it was old age and perhaps arthritis, I took him into the vets office the next day for a check up. That was the 7th of April, and Unfortunately I lost my boy on the 17th. Very Quick.   

After spending over $5,000 in Tests/MRI’s/X-Rays - the cause of his downwards spiral was still unknown. All we knew is that it was likely it was Cancer but nothing showed through any of the tests. I didn’t understand how any of the Vets/Specialists we saw could not pin point what was wrong with him. 

 I felt so helpless while he suffered those last couple of days.   I began researching and gathering information and Frankly there simply isn’t enough funding out there to help researchers discover causes, treatments etc for all the different forms of Cancer out there.   

I’ve decided I really wanted to do my part in helping the cause and while it may not be a significant amount I am attempting to raise funds to the best of my abilities.   With a little help from some corporate sponsors and some amazing friends, I’ve put together a 5k/10k in Santa Monica, where all the proceeds will benefit Pet Cancer Research & Awareness and the Rescue I’ve been working with.   So here I am reaching out to all of you and simply asking for a little help. It could be participation in the run, volunteering OR just Helping me get the word out.   Regardless of anything,
